“What has ‘theology’ ever said that is of the smallest use to anyone?” asks scientist Richard Dawkins. His words ring true for many people, who write off theology as the dry study of old texts with little relevance to everyday life. And yet, by taking the time to dust down our perceptions, we can discover the vibrant colours of a life-enhancing subject, a theology that inspires and challenges us to put our faith into action as we learn more about the reality behind loving the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
To help bring these colours into focus, we’ve invited some of the best thinkers, teachers and communicators of the Christian faith today to lead our course sessions on Sunday evenings. They’ll keep the content accessible and relevant, with a good balance between the cerebral and the practical.
The Cambridge School of Theology is for everyone who would like to go deeper with God and understand their faith more fully. You don’t need to have studied theology before, nor do you need to have an academic background in order to enjoy the sessions. Our aim is to open up theology to the local church and all believers, not just a select few.
