Community Drop-In

What is it?

Community Drop-in runs on a Monday morning from 10am to 11.30am  in term times and although the name may be suggestive of various people coming and going for help, it is actually a place for parents and pre-school children.

This is a place where:

  • Children come to play freely with a variety of toys and creative activities
  • Parents can enjoy a chat and a tea or coffee with old and new friends

To illustrate what it means beyond this description listen to comments made by parents over recent weeks -

"It’s relaxed, friendly and close to home."

"Drop-in is a nice place to meet local mums and babies have space to play (more space than at home."

"Nice to have the toys and time for free play for babies."

"It’s so friendly and warm for both us mothers and our kids."

Kerstin comes to Drop-in because it’s a very nice room with nice people at a convenient distance and time. She says, "I like to go to play groups to give the kids some more faces to see and me some more adults to talk to. You make us feel welcome."

Juliet comes as it’s a lovely calm group. She says, "It’s a great space, with nice tidy toys and a good mix of interesting people for me to chat to. It’s well run by Pat (although I’m sure she wouldn’t mind more offers of help!)"

So if you would like to join me in running this fun group, where children often bring smiles and laughter with their antics and would like an opportunity to meet parents from across the nations ( over the last 4 years we’ve had Russian, Hungarian, French, German, Spanish parents and others beside) then contact me via the C3 office.
